About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to support within an international organisation structure. Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager, this role is responsible for support to the Cyclomedica Europe and subsidiaries in sales and purchasing through to balance sheet reconciliation, journals, tax returns, P&L review, accruals and month end reports.
This is a fulltime permanent position based in West Dublin, Ireland. You will work with a collaborative, vibrant and supportive team. Post probation, there is potential for hybrid working subject to business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Compliance
- Support Customer sales orders/invoicing in close liaison with group & the local team
- Prepare month-end reporting, balance sheet recs and required journals including bank reconciliation and month-end close oversight.
- Provide relevant insight and commentary into the Balance Sheet and P&L balances
- Prepare accurate VAT/VIES/Intrastat and other compliance requirements in accordance with reporting timeframes
- Assist with the audit process, including liaising with external auditors
Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
- Own and manage the end-to-end accounts
- Ensure collections and payments are received and processed in a timely manner
Other
- Support the inventory cycle process
- Development of policy or procedure documents to ensure key processes are documented
- Provision of general finance and accounting support to areas where the business may need from time-to-time
Desired skills and experience
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA with 3+ years’ experience in a similar Accounting position
- Strong technical acumen and financial reporting skills
- Fluency in English, exceptional oral and written communication
- Be systematic, organised and process focused
- ERP working knowledge necessary, Oracle NetSuite desirable
- Legal right to work in Ireland
